Neither would be my first choice but between the two listed I would go with the Savage.

I agree that neither is the best of their class of budget priced rifles. Either would do the job - as would many other choices. Buy what feels right for you. Nobody else's opinion matters - including mine.

I'm planning on getting me a Savage in a 7mm-08 with the accu-trigger in a wood stock, blued barrel and a bolt-action...so I'm going to say I would go with the Savage Rifle!

If you can see if you can go to a Gun Dealer and compare the 2 to see which one looks and feels better and price wise than make the decision!

What part of MO. You located in CHMA?

Hey Chad 'ol buddy,Good to hear from you.Don't know exactly which models you are talking about. Are you going heavy barrel type or tactical? If you are and depending on your budget for this project try sniper central they have some really good stuff in the classifieds.....LOL some of them (The really bad boys get on up to 7 to 10 thousand).I know where there is a Remington 700 BDL Varmint 26" barrel like new for I believe around $700.00 If you are interested shoot me an E-Mail and I will see if it is still available. Was going to buy it myself but my money is funny right now.....Alton
