Default Old timers. I need your help

Alrighty, here we go. I bought a house and found an old shotgun barrel out in the shed. It's a 12ga single shot with "Mohawk Cheif" stamped on the top of the barrel. I've done some looking on the internet but it seems like no one has really heard of it. If you could add any information or pictures I'd really appreciate it.

This is the most info i've found

"the only information i have on "mohawk" or "mohawk chief" is brand name seen on shotguns manufactured by 'cresent firearms co.' and sold by "blish, mize & shillman co. of atchinson, kansas. no era of manufacturer is given.

Some of the Crescent Doubles are worth a smidge, but their specialty was bottom rung hardware scatterguns, sold under nearly 100 different names...of which Mohawk is one.

They are of exposed hammer design, like the mainstay H&R and is mebbe worth 100 clams tops.

Essentially a fish club.

This quote from "blue Book of Gun Values".....

Crescent Firearms Co. remains best known as a manufacturer of "house brand" shotguns (i.e, Crescent private labeled guns for retailers, distributors, mail-order houses, etc.). Over 100 different trademarks have been observed to date, manufactured by Crescent - almost all of the remaining specimens today are priced as shooters and have no collector value".

Hope this helped......

Thanks guys. That's what i was expecting. Maybe I'll be able to make use of it someday as a coach barrel or something
