I bought a standard package of sights by Hi-Viz.It came with a screw and the optic sight was magnetic. It had different colors and widths of sights to choose from.

Default 870 sights

I assume you are speaking of the bead sight?
e-mail me at mikem@tls.net and I have several different versions you may have interest in, or I have the other sights as well and scope mounts to choose from.

I'd guess any sight sold to replace an 870 front bead, or advertized as compatible with an 870 would come with the correct size screw.

Do you have a tap set? If so you could try to match a tap to the threaded hole.

If it is an older 870 the thread size is 6-48.

If it is a new 870 (last 10 or 15 years) there are no threads. The bead is pressed in and you will have to grab the bead with vice grips tight and hit the grips with a hammer to pull it out. Then drill and tap the hole to 6-48.

It is worth noting that if you have one of the Brownings, Berettas, etc... that use some odd ball thread pitch... if you drill and tap the existing hole to 6-48 you will be able to find a bead any where that beads are sold.
