Default Can't even leave your truck unlocked.

Last night was a late one. Got head to bed around 12:30
Well for the first time in properly 2 year i got down on the side of my bed and prayed to god. Mainly to help the country find it way back to god and give me a good season. Well about the time i stand up the motion light on the garage goes off. Which it was windy and does happen. Then two second later the one in the back of the garage by the ally thats on my 85 3/4 ton goes off. SO knew something was up. My glock happen to be by my bedroom door because i had it out wipeing it over and such. SO i picked it up and took it with me. As for why there has been alot of theft around here and even one home invasion/ armed robbery. Maybe i should have stayed in called the cops but i ant feeding the criminals or giving up my hard earned stuff and truck. I went out and there was someone standing behind my tailgate. I think they was walking around because the passanger door was locked. Plus my tote for hunting was in the back with some of my camo in it. My range finder binos and hunting back pack was in the front. No i did not start shooting i said hay what are you doing. The guy took off down the ally. Though the thought of chasing after them i did not. I felt chasing him might have came down to either me shooting him in defense or something happing to me. I also felt if i chased after him it would have been bad for me if i did need to shoot him. My dad stepped out of the top floor on the deck and ask what was up. I told him what had happen he said you really should not just head out like wild Earp in the wild west. Got to say it was hard to sleep after that even though i moved the truck by the house. Still wonder what could have happen.
I know some of you might get on me about going out there. I kind of agree but i ant feeding the criminals. I told a friend he said you really should not go out side with a unloaded gun.
I told him i did not It was loaded and ready to go. He said what if the guy had pulled a gun. Honestly i would have shot him. Sure maybe going out there and having that happen would have gotten me in some trouble I doubt it. Where in the law does it say you can not defend yourself from someone who has a gun or knife in your yard.

In Florida..you could have killed him..

As for me..I would have done the same thing..that's just me..Like you ..I would not have fired..but I like to get the jump on the enemy instead of waiting for him to make his move..Knowing that is a problem..I would not leave anything of value in my automobile..

You did the right thing..we men were created to take care of our family and homes..we were wired that way..

a couple of years ago..a thief stold an elderly man's car..the old man in the adult park opened his trailor door..shot through the car..killed the man and nothing happpened,,he was protecting his property..
That's the way it's done in Florida.

Luckily that type of stuff is quite rare right around here. Also lucky to have a 4-kegged alarm that alerts if anything is around. Heck sometimes I know when the neighbors get home. Better than not knowing I guess depending on the circumstance.
