Need Holster Recommendation 22/45 ruger

Finally picked up ruger 22/45 and the gun shop said it is a hard gun to fit with a holster as most fit a bit sloppy. My 22/45 is a bull barrel, 5 1/2 inches long. If anyone can attest to the fit of a particular holster, i would appreciate it. I would like to be able to carry the gun on my side when hiking in the woods.

Pauly took the words right out of my mouth.Uncle Mike' s has holsters to fit almost all guns.The Nylon is allot easier on the Gun' s finish then Leather. At least that' s my opinion.

I tote my 22/45 in a uncle mikes. mine is a 4" so i don' t think the model would help. but i bet you could do a little research and find a site with a chart.

I don' t have the 22/45, I have a MKII, and a Hunter holster for it, fits like a glove, a buddy of mine claims that when he borrowed my holster it fit his 22/45 really well too, his was a bull bbl. I never saw it put together, so I don' t know if he ' just got by' with it, or if it was a really good fit, he' s not a really avid handgunner, and it was his first leather holster (and no nylons/padded nylons ever fit good anyway).
