I have new a Midway Stainless Steel Cleaning Rod I obtained in a package deal. Is there a spray coating I can use on the rod to protect rifling? Thanks

Limbsaver makes some spray rubber stuff that is suppose to quiet things like treestands although I don't know how durable it is.

How about getting a length of heat shrink tubing?

The only thing that I would use a stainless rod on is a shotgun.

+1. A smooth bore shotgun at that. I use the Tipton carbon rod on my rifles.
