Whatever your gun shoots best. I would start w/ 130 gr winchester powerpoints or remington corelokts. If those don't shoot very good, try some federal, hornardy, or fusion. 140's or 150's might shoot better. Any of these will work fine from 0-300 yds.

i have been using core lokts for a couple of years and i just wanna try something else. I consider long range +300yd's but my max is 600yd's.

If it is just for deer (or pronghorns), try some 130 grain Nosler Ballistic tips or Winchester's 130 grain Ballistic Silvertips...

If it includes elk or bear, then go with Federal Premium with 140 grain Nosler Partitions...

Since most factory ammo you can buy is going to drop probably close to 3 feet at 600 yards(not to mention what a slight breeze will do)....you better have someone load you some super duper reloads and buy a bad ass scope and start getting a lot of practice.

I would look into some of the Hornady Light Magnum loads if you plan to shoot at 300+ yards all the time. I know that for me a long shot is 150 yards. I rarely get to shoot at field class distances now that there are houses around all the fields around here now.

I just had a terrible time finding a load my gun liked. I could not find any 130's it shot to my liking, thought my gun was a dud, but I purchased some Hornady 140 gr. BTSP Interlock's that were on clearance. I don't know much about the bullet, but my 270 loves them. I just bought 3 more boxes. I don't shoot past 300 yards, though.

The first bullet that comes to mind with those huge variations in yardage (0-600) would be a nosler partition. Won't completely fall apart up close, still soft for distance shots. But I wouldn't know anything about 600yd deer performance.

Well i have made 6inch ( 5 shots per group ) groups at 500 yards before. So yeah i say max is maybe more like 450 yards. I am a pretty good shot. At least that is what i am told.
