Default Marlin XL7

My brother is looking to going to start hunting. He's looking to buy the Marlin XL7. I've read some encouranging reports on them. What does anyone have to say about them? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have one here in a .270 and I would not hesitate buy another one. It shoots alittle better groups than my Rem. 700 and seems to be a real good gun for the money.

All the reviews are positive.

Looks like a good value for the money.
