Default Recoil Pads

My 30-06 kicks like a mule. Anyone use recoil pads? Any recommendations? My local gun shop ordered a Remington pad for my rifle, but it doesn't fit so I'm returning it. Limbsaver makes good pads. Are they worth it? Do they work at all? Last time I shot a box thru my 06, my shoulder was red from the recoil.

What loads are you shooting? 150gr. 180gr.? Are you shooting in a T-Shirt?
LS pads work good, you still might have to trim it to fit your stock. Good Luck

Ihave Limb Savers on several of my rifles. IMO they're one of the better pads on the market.

Pachmayr or LimbSaver. For range work, get a padded vest or a shoulder (slip-on) pad such as Past.

The Limbsaver pad works excellent for me. Either a slip on or a custom fit or the cut to fit, all work about the same.

Limbsavers work good. Another option is the Shooters Friend. Its a slip on that really works good.
