My local Academy Sports has them all day for 289.00 and I read somewhere it was the number one rifle this year?

For the money they are a great rifle. Nothing fancy, but they shoot well and with the new triggers they have makes them even better. The only reason to spend more money on a different rifle would be to impress your friends.
