Default Carrying a pistol during archery in MT?

Anyone know of the top of their head whether or not it's legal to carry a sidearm during an archery elk season in MT?

Not so much for bears, for snakes...? for either?

scoot it away with a bow? haha that's not happening!

figure help erradicate these beasts, personally would rather have a wolf pack around me than a rattler.

so ya im not going to be moving any snake, probbly wont shoot one either as i figure if i see one it'll be scooting away, maybe just al il piece of mind, though no snakes sounds like a good management plan to me....
