Default accu stock

I think savage is leading the way in the rifle market. when they came out with the accu trigger it really got allot of praise from allot of folks that weren't even savage fans. now they broke the mold again with the new accu stock. most stocks that are bedded are glass bedded, savage on the other hand is using an aluminum block system. I don't own a savage yet, but i think it is next on my list. they are bar none the best shooters in there price range.

I'm 1 of the few folks that's not impressed with the Accu-trigger. I much prefer a conventional trigger that breaks with no perceptible movement or "gadgets". Full length aluminum bedding blocks are nothing new (several makers use them), but the Savage Accu-stock supposedly "squeezes" the action/recoil lug.

I too think the AT is overrated .I currently own 1 & I have owned 3 others. However, the blade doesnt bother me much, in fact, I hardly notice it anymore. My beef is ,although very crisp w/ no overtravel, I cant seem to get one under 3.5-4#. which is not that great. Id think your better off buying a stevens and spending the savings on a aftermarket trigger and stock. I also think savage accuracy is overated too, the several that I have owned, did no better than any remington Ive owned, and remys are way prettier and better designed. The most accurate rifle Ive ever owned ,was a 700 adl. im not saying savage is crap, but IMO they look and feel a little cheap and cheezy. If you really want a savage go w/ theyre "classic"line or a laminate stock SS model.
