Default going to florida for a trip

I am going to florida in late dec. or the first week of jan for a trip going down there for about 5 months till may. Questions is it legal for me to take my guns with me. Where going to be staying in a RV at some private and us park camp grounds. I have a glock 21 a mossberg 500 as well as a ruger 10/22. I think i am ok with the longguns unsure about the glock since it is a 13 round gun. Also they would be in a safe in the rv might use the 22 or 12 for some target practice when i am down there. Also can you tell me if i would be ok on a ar down there. Going to buy one either this winter or spring. Thanks guys

Thumbs up guns to FL

Florida is pretty gun friendly...sort of. Traveling to here with unloaded, cased, safely stored weapons should not be a problem. Do you have a CCW? You should also check the individual state regs which you would be traveling through.

Also the case needs to be locked. Look into a ccw they are simple to get and take alot of guess work out of the "is it legal" questions.

In Florida, you can have a loaded handgun in your vehicle without a permit as long as it is in a closed glovebox, closed console or holster with a snap enclosure. Hop that helps. You can refer to the state statues under #790.

No No conceal at anytime or place unless you a have a CCW, But you can carry it in your Glove compartment in a holster.
Then You have to be careful in the big Cypress national park or Florida Everglades National Park, those Rangers over there make up the laws as they go alone, whether is thrown out of court or not , the chief Ranger is a nut case that was brought down from Yellow stone park and he thinks he is still there.
Florida Honors the CCW from many States, no target shooting anywhere in Miami Dade County except ,shooting range.

Check the laws of the states you'll be travelling through on the NRA-ILA website. This should answer all your questions. But basically, if it is legal for you to possess the guns in the state you're coming from and at the final destination, you can pass through the intervening jurisdictions legally.
