I don't think thats old news...but it is good news!

Piston driven AR, thats sweet! But the $2000 price tag is a little steep...

The guy I'm trying to buy a Mini 14 from, said him and his dad ordered 2 of them today. I like the idea of no gas. Just like the Beneli shotguns being superior to gas shotguns and so much easier to clean. I wish my wife would let me spend some money!![:@]

It is still a gas system just that it vents in the forearm instead of in the receiver like a standard AR. You can do the same thing by purchasing an Adams gas piston conversion kit for your Ar15.

If it's like the rest of the new Ruger guns that they introduce they will advertise the heck out of it and then drastically under produce it and you will have to wait months upon months to get one.

That IS interesting. It should jam less than one using gas....

Piston ARs are way overrated. More moving parts, more weight, more things to wear out,for little to no benifit.
The only useful place they have is on very short barrels with a suppressor.

If anyone can build an inaccurate AR-15, Ruger can, and the gas piston will make it easier for them to do so.
