Default New Remignton 673

I was wondering if anybody has bought this rifle yet? I would like to add a .350 Rem Mag to my woods hunting battery. Yes I know this rifle is about as pretty has a warthog, but that .350 mag should hit hogs, bear, elk like gangbusters. Any thoughts of the .350 mag also would be great.

I have no experience with the new 673, but my dad used to own a 350 magnum (can' t remember the model number, but it was a short and stout package) all I can remember is that it " kicked" like hell and flattened big Pennsylvania whitetails as if they were groundhogs!!! Yeah, a 350 mag will work on just about anything North America can throw at it.

I have a 350 remington magnum in the 700 classic. It' s one of my favorite cartridges. I load hornady' s 200gr round nose for deer and nosler' s 225 gr partition for moose and bear.I handled one of the 673 remington and if I didn' t already have a 350 magnum I would of buy a one. I like the looks and feel of the 673.

I was at Grice' s Gun shop in clearfield ,PA. Every year they have a show and this year it was march 21,22,23.The factory reps are there with everything new to show they take a $50.00 deposit and your order go in. The 673 they had there was chambered in the 300 rusm.

[]Sorry I stepped on some hunters toes by talking down the 673 looks. I like the stock design and color and the bolt. I can overlook the vent rib, maybe even like it? Its that d@^n shark fin front sight that turns me away, guess I can have it removed. If I buy one I plan on installing a 4x lepold.

Sam444, do you live around Center Cty?, I have some very good friends that live in Munson and West Decatur. Maybe we could hook up and do some shooting the next time I' m in the area.
