Default What's a fair price for Remington 760 in 30-06

Folks...I think I like this choice for a gun for my scabbord when out in the forest. What price have some of you paid for such a gun? This is the 760 pump, open sights and what I would consider good condition. Wood and steel both look pretty good. We tracked the gun's code on the barrell as being mfg in 1957. It has the 22" barrell and is said to be all original except swivels were added for a sling. I left the shop and wanted to sleep on it before going back. Any thoughts? Thanks

Check out the auction sites like Gunbroker to see what they are going for right now. I would not pay more than $350.00 for a 760 in 30/'06.

300-350 for the nice ones in 30-06...if its left hand or BDL maybe a touch more...but even then 30-06 isnt that hard to come by...

great guns...

I agree - somewhere around $350

The shop I went into had it marked at $349. Thought it looked liked a good deal. I think I will go ver there and make offer. I was more curious about those of you that have had this gun and how you liked them.

Thanks.

It's a great gun. I wouldn't go over 350 ither. If it's a private shop offer him a little less and see if you can get a good deal. You'll like the fun, they shoot good. Accurate. And a good gun to carry for what you want it for.
