Kroil/JB with1 sizelarger then yourbore brushis most common. I have also heard of ATF, brake cleaner and acetone as a sub to the kroil. The JB bore paste is 2 folds: neutralize the solvent agent (kroil, ATF, etc) &remove small amounts of moly & copper left behind. A good dose of elbow grease is also required

Like any cleaning sessionto be followed up with a soaked patch of light gun oil to protect the steel/bore for storage. Remember to run a dry patchprior to shooting to remove any excess oil &avoid increasedpressure.
