Trigger Jobs: What's a reasonable price?

This is the first time I've had a gun worked on. It's a Ruger Model 77, and it's getting a trigger job done. A co-worker is doing it for me, and he has done more than a few M 77's... I seriously doubt he'll let me pay him for it, but I'm going to get him a gift card from somewhere. Just to say thanks. What would a trigger job like this normally run?

I was going to say $50, but all trigger jobs are not created equal. Could be $20 to $100.

They are 35 bucks at Bass Pro Shops. They are about 65 bucks at your regular gun shop here in Denver.

I got my Ruger done for $60 but most were charging $105 in my area.

I normally charge $40-50 for reworking a Ruger77 MK II triggerusing existing Ruger factory supplied down to a mininum of 3-4lbs on hunting rifles.
Fora new installed $100+ depending on customer wants in after market trigger manufacturer.

I had two Winchesters done about 5 years ago at about 60.00 apiece. Perhaps it was a little much, but it was done by a professional, and they didn't hack my guns up, so I'm happy! Not trying to say your buddy won't do a good job. If he knows what he is doing, that's great!
