My ARs have conventional optics as I consider them the ultimate coyote rifles. My "working" AR wears an Burris 4.5x-14x-40mm.

I got an EOTech for my AR. The HWS is better if using it for it's intended purpose of 2 legged varmint hunting if it ever comes to that. If I'm going to use a scoped rifle, it may as well be on a bolt gun.

Nothing that I can't remove quickly. Of everything from zero magnification to a 3-9x, I've been most pleased with EOTechs.

Both of my AR's are hunting rifles, and yes, they both wear optics. Love my .204 AR for coyote hunting/calling and will be using my .243 wssm AR for coyotes and antelope, if I can get a tag drawn this year.
