Default Stoeger Condor Question

My son and I just came back from the range after buying and shooting a youth size Stoeger Condor 20 ga. over and under shotgun with the 22" barrel. The action felt really smooth but after firing it was really hard to open. The safety tab was also very hard to operate. My son was sort of frustrated with the firearm. Anyone out there have one of these? Does the action and safety loosen up over time?

Did you lube it up before you took it out?

I purchased it from a gun shop with a discount because it was a demo rifle from a sales rep. It was all cleaned up and ready to shoot.

I don't have the youth model. I have the 20 gauge full size. Yeah the safety is a little stiff, but not something I would complain about. I might worry if it was too easy.

RenaissanceBiker; My concern with the stiff safety tab is that I purchased the youth shotgun for my wife and son to use. Both of them are around 5'-3 and 105 pounds. Both of them are having a hard time pushing the saftey off, which means they are not having fun using it, which in turn is defeating the purpose of them experiencing the sport of hunting and shooting.

Well, if it is that stiff and a little lubrication doesn't help, take it to your local gunsmith and see if he can help.He should be able to do it for under $50. My wife is about 5'7" and 120 lbs. She can shoothers just fine.
