Default My New Stick...FN PBR XP...

Pretty good deals going on these FN rifles, you can get one like this in the $850 range. That is about $150 below dealer price from FN.

Anyway I'm very impressed with the quality, but being FN I expected as much. Dropped a Swarovski 10x42 MD on it and I think my 700s are going start spending some time in the back of the safe.

Nice rifle! (and nice glass too)
One question.......why such a high mount for the scope?

Pulled the scope off my Barrett M82A1 and those were the rings that were on it. I replaced the scope on my Barrett with a Nightforce. And I linka like it, makes room for my hands to clear the back bell when operating the bolt.

Gotcha........that scope probably thanks you for that switch. Like going from a cannon to a BB gun.
Talk about a rifle that extends your personal space![:-]

Yep, and the Barrett makes an excellent ground squirrel gun.

I shot one once.......it was the most nervous I ever was behind a trigger even though I knew I would be just fine. LOL

I'd be curious how you used the mil-dots to get the most out of that cartridge with the fixed 10X. Are most guys who shoot them using the MD or are they adjusting with turrets? With the kind of range potential you can get with that monster 10X almost seems like a handicap.
But what do I know, the full magazine on that thing probably weighs more than my varmint rifle. LOL

Love the muzzle blast on those things! ( Sorry to get off on a .50BMG tangent.)

That's a real nice looking gun.

My uncle knows a guy that went on a hunt in another country with a .50 Cal and ended up shooting a monkey with it....
