It sounds like an old Savage shotgun stamped to a hardware store brand, but could be Iver Johnson. Depending on condition, it's only value is as an shooter IF checked by gunsmith to ensure it's safe to shoot. The value should be in the 40$-70$ range.

Stalking bear is correct - it is one of those made for the hardware trade guns, marked to suit the hardware chain that sold them. Like Western Auto or some such outfit.
A perfect example would be the vaious "J.C. Higgins" & "Ted Williams" pieces Sears used to sell. A well-known maker produced them and put a name on as requested by the retailer.
