Marlin XL7

I just purchased the last Marlin XL7 i could find in the state so it seems. 30.06 topped with a Nikon Monarch 3x9 scope for under $500. Gentlemen, this is nice gun for the price so it would seem.

does anyone have experience with this gun? like to hear opinions.. going to the range tomorrow to try it out.
