Default Factory loads for 300RUM

I currently use Federal 200 grain Nosler partitions in my 300 RUM but I was on www.midwayusa.com and see that they have some Nosler brand ammo for the 300 RUM and I'm thinking of trying some 165 Nosler partitions or 150 Nosler Accubonds and was wondering if anyone uses either of these or what FACTORY loads you recommend?

I don't have a .300 RUM, but if I were choosing between the two loads you mentioned, I'd go with the 165gr Partition over the 150gr Accubond. Big, overbore cases like the RUM are going to be more efficient with heavier bullets, and the partition will hold together better if you shoot a deer at close range where impact velocities are very high. The Accubond shouldn't blow up on impact, though. If I had a .300 RUM myself, I'd shoot 180gr bullets for everything, and my bullet of choice would be either the Barnes Tipped TSX or the MRX.

I have two 300ultramags,but I don't shoot factory loads.I am not impressed with either the ballistics or the cost of factory loads. However the accubonds and partitions are both good bullets, and the lighter bullets will reduce the recoil compared to the 200 gr bullets.

I shot the 180gr partitions and 200gr partitions before from remington. Both shot well.
