Default Browning BAR

I'm thinking about selling or trading my BAR. It's an older model Belgian gun. How much of a factor is being Belgian made gonna have on it's value?

I'd check Gunbroker or Guns America and see how they run on those sites.

Makes a difference on the caliber and grade your particular model rifle it is? And of course condition. Got any pics or more information?

It's a grade 1 in 30-06 cal. No rust with a few dings in the stock and forearm. None of the dings have cracked the finish and are basically small indentions that are not noticeable past arms length......A grade 2 will have engraving on the receiver.

Mine is a grade 1 then as it doesn't have any engravings on the receiver.

I had a gun smith that's had several BAR's around here tell me mine was at least a $500 gun. Sounds about like the shape yours is in. When I bought almost 2 years back the gun shop was asking $550 and $223 for the scope. I got them down to $750 for both with tax and all. Not sure what they took the money off of. Don't know if it was the gun or scope.

I also just recently right before hunting season had someone tell me he would give me $625 for it. I was thinking of selling it and just used that as a starting figure. He offered $500 and I said I'd think about it. I then decided to just keep it and he told me well he'd give me the $625. At that point I had decided to keep it so let him know that.

I don't think I'd take less than $600 for mine however, I'm not sure I'd take that either as I like the rifle I just wish it shot tighter groups.

I'd say anywhere from $500-700. That's with no scope. I wasn't going to let my scope go with mine if I did sell it. I've seen them on gunbroker that high and higher.

Being that mine isn't so old it was made in 1990 but says made in Belgium assembled in Portugal. It's a grade 1. Are these going to be something worth hanging on I've gotten offered $625 for mine without a scope. I almost took it since that's more than I paid by $75 but at the same time I sort of like the gun. I just wish the groups were tighter. They are tight enough for hunting though.
