Has anyone seen any of these floating around? I just saw it on the Ruger website, and it definately caught my attention! I've been looking for a 460 in a lever, or single shot. Is this the only "rifle" out there chambered for the 460 besides a Thompson barrel?
I think it would be a great rifle. Basically you should be able to attain 45-70 characteristics in a more efficient case. Unfortunately it doesnot have the appeal of the 45-70. But it sure should perform. And the guys in pistol cartridge states only should really want one.
I have seen some 454 Casull levers, so I can imagine it is only a matter of time til you see a 460 or 500. Tom.

We need to stop using these terms today, "Sniper Rifle", "Tactical", "Assault Weapon".
My local FFL located me one for $870. Does that sound good, bad, in between?
I honestly do not know. I just paid $900 for a used Low Wall in 44 magnum if that helps. And I feel I got a pretty good deal. Which model Ruger #1 is it?? Is that caliber going to be a cataloged model?? If so then shop around. If not then you better buy it.
Are you shooting any more coyotes. I am in the process of buying a new FOxPro. I am tryin to decide between the FX3 and the new Fury. Have you played with any of these?? Thanks, Tom.

Neat idea but kinda not. With such a design, the longer cartridges are more at home as it allows the long and magnum length cartridges to be used in a shoter overall rifle. having these short cartidges is more novelty than anything. Still, neat regardless and as i don't see this as being one that sticks in the catalog long, I'll grab one once they're available. Will fit in nicely with the other 4 #1's.

Haven't had much time to go out coyote hunting lately, should be able to slip out again one of these days this weekend I'm hoping for an all day hunt. I have the Scorpion FoxPro, and thats the only one I've ever really used personally. One of my calling buddies purchased the FX3 and we both think it sounds better and gets louder than my Scorpion. I haven't seen the new Fury yet in person.
I've always wanted a 45/70 of my own as well..........I kinda want a 460 in a lever gun, but it seems that their pressures are too high for any levers out there if what I read is correct.....Anyone know any different?
