Default 7.62x39 Ak AMMO

Does anybody Have an Ak or SKA out there, I myself do not, But I have been looking into them, and I was noticing some ammo sucked, and it seemed like it was wolf. So anybody know anything about what the best cheap bulk ammo would be? for an AK

I've had both an AK and a SKS at different times. I ended up getting rid of both several months after buying them because I hardly ever used them.

Wolf ammo isn't the best, but it is cheap and that's all a lot of people look for. If all you're using it for is plinking, then it's ok to buy the cheap stuff as long as you clean your guns after you shoot as Wolf seems to be kind of dirty. I used Remington soft point ammo in mine.

I had a Saiga AK variant chambered in .223. It shot the Silver Bear 62gr. HP rounds quite accurately. It was accurate enough to justify a scope setup, and I have killed one nice buck and more coyotes than I care to count with it out to just past 100 yards. I ran some expensive .223 thru it once, with dismal results. Green box ammo was not much better. Wolf ammo has gotten downright nasty over the last couple of years, so I won't use it in anything anymore. All the 7.62x39 Saiga owners I talked to were very disappointed with their accuracy. The .223 and .308 versions were much better.

Such clunkers don't merit expensive precision ammo! Wolf brand is as good as any milspec crap. I have no complaints about it, in my SKS's or my CZ 527. Wolf .45 ACP is as good as U.S. GI hardball any day.
