looked at a few sites.

but have not ben able to shoot it due to it being down at 1shot_1kill' s gunshop in N.C. being done over.
i am probally goona just use the rem core-lok' s since i only hunt deer and black bear with it.
but it sounds like you found 2 nice jems. i would of piked up the 35whelen classic just to have and then sell down the road.

Robert Scott, I found 35 Whelen at www.midsouthshooterssuply.com I picked up some Federal Premium 255gr. Trophy Bonded Bear Claws. The new catalog has them for 25.98. They also have new Whelen brass by Remington. It' s a shame you let those whelens slip on by.

Quilly, I heard there was a recall of these L.E Ruger M-77' s in 35 Whelan.I contacted Ruger and was told there was never a recall on them.Supposely the problems others had were using Remington ammunition. My understanding is the Remington ammunition was slightly unsized.I haven' t fired this rifle. If and when I do get around to firing it, I' ll be using Federal Premium. I have new brass, bullets, dies etc. Just finding the time to reload will be the trick.
