Default Ruger stainless or Camo dipped or other .22cal??

Quick question
Looking to pick up a little .22cal for some grouse hunting up north in a few weeks.
Was looking at the stainless model and the full dip camo model.
Any suggestions??
Will the camo hold up to years of use?
I plan on putting a lot of rounds thru this over the years.
any suggestions would be great.
also what scope???
Thanks
GIBB

Looking at the Ruger....or do you reccomend something else??

As the differences between the two models is only cosmetic the longevity fcator is the same. keep in mind the stainless variant still has the same aluminm reciever as the other 10/22's. (many think stainless means it's all stainless - not so)
As the differences are just cosmetic, whichever appeals to YOU...go with it.
For the scope, for just an informal shooter, I'd use a Simmons proberly. For the money, they're a very good bang-4-buck choice. Midway and Natchez usually have really good deals on them.

Are you dead set on a .22? May check into the Savage .17. I got this one last week. Laminated wood grain stock with stainless steel bull barrell and accutriggerfor $400. http://www.savagearms.com/93r17BTVS.htmVery accurate gun and fun too shoot.

I voted the Camo one as I saw one in a gun shop and fell in love with it. I have a regular 10/22 in wood which is what I wanted at the time. I couldn't bring myself to buy another one in Camo when I already had one in wood. When I went back a week later they had sold both the camo one and the one they had in wood. I really like the wood for looks but that camo really looked good and I think I'd like it for hunting with it.

The 10/22's are great guns with tons of aftermarket support for them.
