Default Tikka Saftey - Noisy???

I was checking out a Tikka T3 Lite last nightat my local Gander Mountain and really liked the gun, however, I noticed that the safety makes a louder than I would like click when you move it. I hunt a really thick area for whitetails and most of the time the deer are within 50 yds when I first see them. I was wondering if once it's broken in if the noise will be reduced?

I also looked at the Browning X-Bolt which was very, very nice as well and had a quiet safety.

Thanks.

Ive never had a problem with mine being too noisy. Just move it slowly.

Mine also doesn't have a problem. I keep my finger on it so it doesn't drop into place hard.

Mine has some slight noise if it is just simply pushed forward and let go. As the others have said, push it forward slowly and ease it into the fire position.

My suggestion, take it off safety once your in the stand and comfortable, so you don't have to waste that extra second...
This is not recommended but its what I do.

I used to do that but since i got the TIkka i have the trigger set so light its really not safe to do that. I lvoe a really light trigger so i always have mine on safe unless im 110% sure im going to shoot.

I also take the safety off when I hunt. I hold my gun the whole time so the barrel is always pointed in a safe direction.
