Default Rossi 410 / 22

Anyone have one of these. I picked one up yesterday. It a single shot break open with both 410 and 22 rimfire. Seems to be a nice gun for my kids. I like the single shot part of it for the kids. I'll probably scope the 22 barrel eventually if I find its as nice as I hope it will be.

.......Although I've not seen one, it reminds me of the Savage Model 24 which started life, I believe, in the same configuration you speak of. My first gun was Savage 24 in 22/410 and as a kid, I killed a lot of small game with it. It is a great young hunter's gun to get started with, and an excellent choice for a round-about survival-type gun. I missed my old Savage so much in the later years, I had to buy one at a gun auction some time ago.....and at a lot higher cost, I may add....

Don just brought back a lot of memories by talking about the Savage 24. I had one that belonged to my grandfather, but got stolen from my fathers house when I joined the Navy. I have been looking to replace it since then, but can't seem to find them.

Well I sure hope you find one. If not take a look at these Rossi ones for any young ones. I think this gun will be a fun and productive small game gun. Seems pretty nice. Though I still haven't shot it.
