Default .270 Trajectory Question

My .270 Win is sighted in at 100yds to be dead on. But I didn't have a chance to shoot at 50yds, and can't find what it should be shooting at at 50yds. I'm shooting Federal power-shok 150gr softpoint RN's.

Anyone know what it should be at shooting at 50yds?

Probably about 1" low.

Your zero certainly DOES NOT make good use of the .270's long-range capabilities. I used to zero my .270 to hit + 4" @ 100. It was then still + 4" at 200, and -3" @ 300. About -12" at 400 with that setting...... (130 grain Nosler Partition bullets @ 3000 FPS MV.) This was for mule deer hunting in the mountains of CO & NM......

The only reason I have my 270 sighted in dead on at 100 yds is because my scope is the Burris with the ballistic plex. Without it I too sighted in 3" high at 100 yds. And unless you're hunting sparrows, hold dead center on a deer along a verticle line up the back edge of the frontleg and it will go down.
