Default Remington model 7

I'm thinking of getting a Remington Model 7 camo XCR in 308 Win.and was wondering how everyone likes there model 7's I think it would be a good gun to carry on the days I drive for deer

I think the remington model 7 is a nice 'little' rifle. Personally I like the Browning Micro Hunter a bit more. But I don't think you will have any problems either functionally or accuracy wise with the model 7.

I'm with bronko on liking the browning A-bolt/X-bolt more than the remington model 7. Nothing wrong with the model 7,just that I like the 3 locking lugs,60 degree bolt throw,tang safety,factory glass bedded,etc of the brownings better.

Id go with the Remington. although it only has two locking lugs and the greater degree of a bolt lift, that action has proven itself time and time again to accurate, reliable, and strong.

I have the Model 7 in .243 and you cant beat it. It handles great and isnt too small like a youth model.

I also have the model 7 XCR in .243 and love it!! It's light, fast and a tack driver!

I have a Model 7 CDL in 260 and really enjoy it, it's great in a tight shooters hut or treestand.

I've got one in 308 and it shoots fantastic. No complaints, I'd take it hunting any day!
