Ruger M77 270 short mag
 

There is an all weather ruger M77 270 short mag for sale at the local shop here for 450.00

Is this a good buy... It is not the hawkeye and it is not the matte SS.. it is the nickel finish... I have the 300 WM same style and absolutely love it..

I am tempted.. push me over the edge!

I have that very same rifle. I replaced the factory trigger with a Rifle Basix, replaced the synthetic stock with a Boyds JRS laminate. I have a load worked up using 130 gr ballistic tips sitting on top of 6.26 gr of I4350 and wlrm primers that prints a 3/4 " group at just over 3200 fps. I think my 06 is going to be my back up gun this year.

Used I would offer $350.00 and not go over $375.00. Go $400.00 if they will throw in a trigger job.

Look on Gunbroker and similar websites and see what similar guns are going for. It may not be that unreasonable in the area you live in.
