Default Gun Safe

I am looking into buying a stand up floor safe. A buddy of mine has on with the REMINGTON label. He bought it at Sam's Club. I asked Sams about it but they said they cary what is shipped to them. They were carrying it that season. I was wondering if anyone had knowledge of where a good place to find "novelty" type safes.

check your local dealers, when I bought mine they had a maroon one, I wanted midnite blue metallic, the maroon one they had in stock was 2600.00 installed, the blue one was 3150.00 because of shipping. the maroon one looks nice!
get the biggest one you can find I did and its too small.

Basicly all the makers handle safes of the same quality, its steel of different thicknesses depending on the different models of each make, fire linings of different thicknesses giving a different rating. the stickers on the outside are the main differences.

What I meant by novelty was the design or label on the front. A buddy of mine has one with REMINGTON on it. I have them with the makers name: Liberty, Canon, etc.... Sam's Club has one with Winchester. I know that is cosmetic but if it is for the rest of your life....well....

I have a american security fireproof safe that is a bull (empty weight is 975lbs).....I looked around and found some more expensive one's that had all the fancy "cosmetic" looks to them. After looking into the safe and the spec's, this one was built identical, without all the pretty stuff so I saved a few dollars....

The safes I have are the biggest that "winchester" makes-73"x27"x42"x1500 pounds empty with double fireproofing.I've seen guys put all kinds of decals on them-get a big 1 and put what you want on it.
