Default new .22 bullets

Anybody tried the new .22' s out there? I can' t remember what they are called, but they are made by CCI and have a dinosaur on the front of the box. I' m just wondering if they are faster than stingers.

You mean the Velociter' s or something like that? I have not either but would like some feed back to from those who have. I think they have a true FMJ-HP if I' m not mistaken.

Thats the name!....they claim to be the fastest 40 grain bullet out there. I' d like to see how they compare with the lighter stinger.

I haven' t tried them, but the ones I' ve seen are quite pricey.... I guess they have their place, but if I want more velocity, I' ll just use the K-Hornet... I think they were almost the same price as the .22 mag stuff...but I could be remembering wrong... best bet is to just price them and decide if they are worth the extra dinero.... I bet they would do a better job on jackrabbits than regular lr stuff.

I' ve shot a few boxes of them out of my butler creek 10/22 .920 barrel and at 25yds they could not evern touch other. I was not impressed at all. I wish they would group, i would like to hunt with them.

I would not shoot the stingers out of any gun you carew about. the case on them is too long, longer than standard long rifle. I know of two browning buckmark rifles that blew up, I mean pieces went flying. they are not accurate and damage the rifling.

seems like slower bullets are more accurate.

my volquartzen 10/22 loves federal gold medal ultra match
my butler creek like the cheap remington subsonic hp.
