Default Rem. Pump Fore Stock Slight Wobble Issue

Hello;

I have a Rem. 3006 pump (7600) with the wood stock/forestock and for the past few years it has always had a slight wobble to it. In the past I have ignored it and made due but it effects my grouping depending on how the forestock is handled conisitantly. I have tightened the end bolt but that is not the problem so I figure it must be the slide rails.. Has anyone else had this problem and what are the remidies?

Thanks

They are suppose to have wobble in them. If they didn't they would be too tight to be pumped.

As for holding the forearm... it isn't even close to coming in contact with your barrel and should not effect your groups at all. The 7600barrel is completely free floated.

Now, how tight you hold your gun and how youapplyany side pressure tothe riflewill effect how the rifle reacts when it is being fired which will effect your groups.

I have the 760 in .270 and it is loose, too.

It's been that way forever. Doesn't affect grouping for me.

If its got some wobble to it then your good. I hate the tightness on a new pump gun.
