20 gauge Encore slug ?

I have a 20 gauge Encore rifled slug gun with a 1:24 twist. I have tried Hornady SST's out of it and they do not group. I have taken the gun to our local rod and gun store to check the tightness of the scope and mount but I don't think that is it. Suggestions on a slug that has worked in this gun would be appreciated!

Remington Core Lock Ultras are another good high velocity slug, but they aren't cheap. If you can't get slugs in the 2000 fps range to group, try something a little slower like 1500-1600 fps.

My slug gun would not group SSTs. It shoots BRI-style Winchesters (1450 fps) and Brenneke sabots (1630 fps) really well.

I shoot a Marlin Model 512 Slugmaster. It carries like a 2x4, but I've shot quite a few with it.

Try the Litefields, they shoot real good outta mine.
