Default .22 mag opinion

what would be the better rifle the marlin 983 or the savage 93g? i have a few of each company's gun and like thrm both.

I think the marlin's usually have a little more accurate barrel, but the savage's definately have better trigger's. I'd go the savage.

The chamber throats on Marlins[lead] needs to be altered to get better accuracy.Never liked micro-groove rifling on any gun.Savages are all good shooters ....................nothing against the .22mag but you can load load centerfire varmint rounds cheaper and get better performance..........loaded up or down....................Harold

I agree with pioneer 2 that a good idea would be to reload a centerfire 22 which would be cheaper and you would get alot more velocity out of it to than a 22 mag obviously.
