I just bought one in .223, with the black pepper laminate stock, SMOKING. Really smooth bolt throw, the only beef I have with it is that the trigger is set at 3 lbs 12 0z., and will only go down to 3.5 and still have everything work. Otherwise the trigger has no creep and a very smooth break.

I don' t have one but it just might be my next rifle purchase. I have handled them in stores and like thndrchiken said they feel great and everything is very smooth. I have also never read a bad review on them. You certainly can' t beat the price for the features you get on that rifle. I have seen them with the laminated thumbhole stock in stainless for well under $600. Good luck when you get your new rifle.

I have one from 1984, made for Smith & Wesson. Bull barrel, heavy as sin, but shoots around 1/2" with cheap factory ammo. I should reload but why??? Only beef is it has a crappy trigger but I haven' t taken it in yet to see if it can be fixed.

I wouldn' t hesitate to buy another and in fact looked to buy one for my deer/elk hunting rig. Going with a Tikka simply due to the removable external box magazine (plus the same barrel as Sako rifles so great accuracy out of the box).
