Default round nosed bullets.

does anyone know if any factory ammo stills comes in a round nosed bullet?

i know remington' s core-lokt' s used to make them, but can' t seem to find them. looing to get some 180gr. and 165gr. to try in my BAR for my swamp hunting.

Remmington still makes the 180 grain core lockt in a round nose.

it is hard to find them though. i have not seen them in shelves in quite some time

Winchester makes a factory round for the .308 in a 180 gr. round nose.

i wish i could find a 165gr. or 180gr. in possibly a federal or hornaday. but i am looking for it in the 30-06sprg.

Might be because you are in primarily whitetail country and the retailers don' t see a big need for them. I know that here in Colorado they are in every store you go in to. If you can' t find them then I would say just stick to 180 grain noslers or the like. It' s really not going to make any difference in anything if you use spitzers or round nose.

i would thin where all the shots are mostly under 100yds in the northeast woods. the round nosed bullets would be in a higher demand.

Yeah, but the dirty little secret is thatat close range the RN bullets are more effective and much cheaper than the premium and ballistic tip bullets that the remchester manufacturers want to push.

i am surprized the manufacturers don' t come out with a premuim round nosed bullet. like a nosler or some other kind. besides the woodliegh weldcore.
