Midway, Cabelas, Cheaper than dirt , there are quite a few. Save some money and get a pretty decent hunting load like S& B, they' re loaded to a more respectable level.

7.92X57JS (8mm) Mauser ammo is not hard to find in this country! But I recommend you NOT use U.S. loads, because they are badly underloaded for a strong M98 of recent vintage. Unless you just use it for target and plinking, in which case you' d probably have to rezero your rifle when you switch to hunting ammo!!

if i remmber correctly. midway had a run of some 8X57 ammo cheap. i think it was something like 174gr.
