"Learned that in basic training."

As did I. Now you don't have to join the military to learn it. Not sure what a smart book is though. Maybe after my time. Tacsop?

Now maybe you'll be able to read about not calling it an asssault rifle. Your just adding fuel to the fires of the anti's.

You could call them life savers with sights and tomorrow CNN would still have a report on killings with Life savers

I know enough to call them what they are. Calling them something else is cute and naive. The post is about correcting a malfunction. Made controversial by "experienced" users like you. You do realize that by posting a comment, you've now bumbed this "controversial" thread back up to the top of the list, right?

let me inform you of something right now, I own AR's they are not assault rifles. what they are are extremely accurate varmint and big game rifles. assault weapons have selective fire mechanisms. You wanna come here and quote your knoledge of all things firearms, fine, doesn't matter to me, use some common sense about it if you don't mind. Remember Jim Zumbo? he also said they were assault weapons, he ate alot of humble pie once he pi$$ed off 1 million AR owners.
what malfuction are you speaking of, you keep an AR clean and the mags in good shape they run flawless with about any cartridge that fits down the magwell. at least all of mine do whether its a 223, 25 wssm, or a 458 socom.
congrats you made my ignore list before you hit 10 posts!
