Default Xbolt Hunter - real wood?

Is the wood on the Xbolt Hunter real wood or some sort of sythetic? The guy at Cabela's said it was like fake wood... What the??
Thx for any info you have on this.

+1 as is Bass Pro as is Ganders as is Walmarts etc etc tough finding a gunshop that has salesmen that know their nuts and bolts. Maybe he mistook the Xbolt for a Beretta I know they make a lot of fake walnut

As far as I know, the standard X-bolt stock is Walnut. The only one I have seen definitely is walnut. There is a stock product that looks and feels very much like wood. Maybe Browning has switched to that for some reason.
