A tracker can be drilled and tapped for a scope mount, they just won't do it nor will they recommend it. There are plenty of people that have done it though. Just find a gun smith that will do it and have it done if that is what you want.

H&R's reasoning is that there isn't enough metal to drill and tap for a scope rail, but I know of plenty of people that have done it.

I'm sure they would prefer you buy a heavy barrel from them with the mount already on it.

Not exactly a project for the occasional do-it-yourself'er but I made a zero gap lug and soldered it in place.

Lotsa room for D&T.

Never got around to finishing the milling on the top surface yet. I'll do that someday and send it off for a coat of Cerekote.....

It wears an older glossy Vari X-1 now and is a neat light and quick handling gun to hunt slug areas with.

Shoots SSt's very nicely.........

^what type of mounts should i put on it, i would like see through rings, so i can still use my iron sights for close shots, but should i use a cantiliever or a regular weaver style, i will be taking the barrel off for my 12 ga for turkey season, so what should i do.

Certainly not those. Either choose to use a scope or use the iron sights. You can't use either one well enough to make it worth while with see thru mounts.

WAit, so your saying not to go with see through mounts because they will not be accurate???? because if so, my ML has see through mounts and that thing is fine.

I agree, choose a low powered scope learn to use it properly, and use it all the time...
