Default can't ever remebmer, scope adjust

Need to get one of the guns out to the range for sighting in havn't used it in a few seasons. Do I dial the cross hairs to the POI or the POI to the cross hairs. So for low left POI would I dial down and right or up and left?

Used the .54 ball shooter for elk last season and the .260 for speed goats. Taking the 15 year old out this season for Elk rifle and want to be sure his .270 is dialed in

The hole in the target is where the bore is pointing, the crosshairs are where your eye was looking.

Hold back on your POA and carefully dial the crosswires to the POI.....

if your bullet hole is left of the center bull (assuming that is your point of aim) adjust right

if your bullet hole is higher than you want turn the scope adjustment down

Where do you live in Loveland ?

A little adage to remember for adjusting a scope is "Crazy dogs chase lines" - For most scopes it stands for clockwise down, clockwise left. So if you're hitting low / left, you would dial your up/down counter clockwise and your left/right counter clockwise. This will mover your point of impact up and right.
