i set one up for a guy. it was ok. i'm not a browning rifle fan, or shotgun. teh action is not smooth enough in my opinion just like the a-bolt.

I just looked at them last weekend at a local GM. They seemed decent enough. They will certainly do the job for which they are intended.

I am not a Browning fan but Ilike everything about them other than the scope base 4 screw set up. Nice geometry, decent trigger, excellent recoil pad, new safety for bolt and rotary type magazine.

4 screw for each base setup is a little screwy(no pun intended) but otherwise it is a nice gun. I am glad they removed the bolt sleeve and put a better factory trigger on it. Has great ergonomics but the styling might influence some people just like Tikkas,Sako A7's etc etc. I would buy it over anything out there less then 1k .

I got the chance to handle one tonight! I like the new safety option on the bolt, it has a very smooth bolt operation, and the trigger is WAYYYYYY better then my old A-Bolt!!

In your opinions . Is the Browning worth the extra $$
Or is the X - Bolt the way to go ??

Not sure what you mean because the X-bolt is a Browning.

IMO they made some definite mechanical improvements over the A-bolt. Better adjustable trigger, better bolt design, better and stronger extractor, center feed, able to unload with the safety on, slimmer receiver.

As far as the looks department goes they really screwed up. IMO it is a abomination of an ugly rifle. Not so bad in a black / blued synthetic cause it all works togetherbut the wood stocked rifles ..... [:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(]
