Default Gun Values

Not sure where to post this so I thought this might be the first place to try. I have two rifles that I got after my father in law passed away. I have had them for 18 years. I thought I would get them out and maybe sell them. So I wrote down the make and models and started checking the internet. What I have found is a little stunning to me. They are worth more then I thought. So I thought I would post here to see if the amounts I were seeing on different websites is true. Here is what I have:
Winchester Model 77 22LR
Marlin Golden 39A 22LR with a weaver scope.

Can anyone tell me what the resale value of these two rifles would be. They are in pretty good shape.

Thank you[/align]

If I was given my father-in-laws guns when he passed I would say they are invaluable and would never sale. But, to each his own.

Yea that is what I thought 18 years ago. Since then my wife and I have divorced. I have re-married. My ex-wife passed away. Things change. People change. You move on and sell your old guns and buy new ones.

Well that changes everything. Sell'em and buy yourself something pretty.

The Winchester Model 77 used retails for about $250 to $275 from what I see.
The Marlin 39A is a classic shooter and in high demand and will go for about $450.

That is what I am doing. I'm getting something slim and attractive...oh...you are talking about a pretty gun!! How about a Walther PPK in .380.

I'd off that winchester and keep the 39A.

Not many .22 shooters that arebetter, and since you already own it......
