Sako Finnlight

After having problems finding a Browning eclipse Hunter here in Canada. I have just ordered a Sako 85 Finnlight in 7mm Rem Mag.

Just wondering your thoughts?? and what you think i should top it with for optics????

I was considering the Finnlight myself but decided on the 85 greywolf in 300wsmbecause the synthetic stock on the Finnlight just seemed too flimsy, the 75 synthetic stocks were better in IMO. The 85 is a tack driver, absolutely love it!!

BTW, I topped mine with a Swarovski PH 30mm 3x12. A Zeiss Conquest is nice too if you want something less expensive but with great optics.

A friend has the finlite in 7mmremmag.I find it far too light in the muzzle for my tastes.

Nice carry gun and all you need for the rest of your life. Since it is a long action a Zeiss 3-9x40 Conquest would be all you need.

Well I agree with Dominick, a nice quality scope with 2.5-10 or 3-12 would be perfect in my opinion. I personally put a Zeiss Diavary 3-12 on my Sako 85 Gray Wolf in .300 win mag. By the way it"™s a real tack driver"¦.here is a 5 shot group at 110 yards (100 metres)"¦the fifth and final shot on the left is absolutely my fault !

The Zeiss 3-9 x 40 is a little on the long side and would suite the that 7 mm Rem. Mag just right as previously mentioned...

I was just looking on gunbroker for one, and they have both the 75 and 85 for sale new.

Whats the difference?

For the most part jeep, the newer M85 is a controlled round action while the M75 is a push feed and the M85 has aimproved magazine latch on it where the magazine has to be depressed in order for the retaining latch to be pushed and also slight differences in wood styling. Take your pick, both are great rifles. The M75's are longer being made so the supply will be dwindling down.

Thanks doubleA, I'm not really in the market but it was the first time I've saw the Finnlight and it looks pretty sweet to me.
