Rossi or NEF 06?

Rossi 30-06 or handi rifle 30-06? Which one? What' s the quality on the rossi' s? They come with iron sights and the handi rifles don' t.

Walmart' s " super low" price on the handi rifle in 06 is $206.00
Rossi' s MSRP is $202.00

Which would be the better rifle?

I' ll most likily get the one that is most easily got. I went to several places today to order a handi rifle and all of them said that I had to come back another time. Gun Country wouldn' t special order and walmart told me to come back when Dan was there so he could order it. Geeze, I never thought it would take this long!

For just a few $$ more why don' t you get a Rem. 710 in 30/06.

I have a NEF in .223. I like it.
Mine is accurate and the trigger is OK off the shelf.
I like the simple action, and the extractor really fires the brass out of there.
I would buy another one.

Don' t know about the Rossi.

1SHOT_1KILL , you are joking right? The H&R/NEF rifles are better made and feel better than the Rossi rifles. I haven' t had a chance to shoot the Rossi, but I have shot the H&R/NEF rifles and they perform very well. Not to mention I would trust then over a Rem 710 piece of crap any day of the week.
